software back to the original factory setup and settings as it
was when new. Resetting the laptop to factory defaults will

The laptop manufacturers generally lock
each recovery set to a specific model and the correct disks must be chosen
for a successful restore. For Windows operating systems the relevant
Microsoft COA license must also be attached to the laptop to match the
recovery disk version installed.
